Employee engagement produces positive outcomes—for everyone.

GFN’s employee engagement opportunities offer rewarding ways for you to meet your goals while empowering your employees to partner with GFN member food banks around the world. GFN’s works with partners in more than 50 countries to alleviate hunger and tackle climate change at the same time. Our partner food banks work with 50,000 local agencies and are supported by over 400,000 volunteers.

GFN offers a range of opportunities for corporate partners to multiply their impact by inviting employees to actively invest their time, talent, and financial support to our mission.

Our employee engagement programs support food banks worldwide and help alleviate food insecurity. GFN facilitates relationships between corporate partners and member food banks through local, regional, and global employee engagement programs. These programs can contribute to your company’s goals by:

  • Supporting the communities where you live and work
  • Demonstrating your commitment to addressing hunger and climate change
  • Inspiring and motivating employees through meaningful opportunities, from in-person volunteering to skills-based projects and more.
Business units with high employee engagement achieve higher profitability, productivity, higher customer loyalty and engagement, better safety, and lower turnover among other positive outcomes.

How Our Partners Are Making an Impact

Every action makes a difference, whether it’s hosting an employee giving campaign across your global organization or a department virtually supporting our global efforts. Need some inspiration?

  • CyberArk engaged leadership through a fundraising competition by hosting a Peer2Peer workplace giving campaign.
  • Northern Trust turned service hours into volunteer grants, donating meals for each hour served during their month of service.
  • OpenText hosted a holiday giving campaign, raising over $50,000 and recognizing individual donors with a fun holiday cookbook, blending generosity with culinary discovery.
  • Many partners also host a Lunch & Learn, transforming mealtime into a knowledge exchange, fostering learning and engagement in a relaxed, communal setting

PIMCO: A Partnership of Time, Talent, and Trust

PIMCO’s commitment to alleviating hunger is evident in all aspects of its partnership with GFN. In addition to its historic investments to help newer food banks scale their operations, PIMCO employees contribute their time and talents to member food banks around the world through on-site volunteering and skills-based projects.

Skills-based Volunteering

Social media is an effective way for food banks to engage its local partners, volunteers, and donors–but many food banks are already stretched thin when it comes to staffing. PIMCO’s internal digital marketing experts volunteered their time to develop a special social media toolkit so GFN member food banks in Southeast Asia could maximize their social channels with limited time and resources.
