Social & Economic Impact

Hunger Graphic

Hunger is a problem for all of us – not just those who experience hunger first hand.

Hunger and malnutrition undermine all other humanitarian and development goals. According to the World Food Program every child whose physical and mental development is stunted by hunger and malnutrition stands to lose 5% to 10% in lifetime earnings. The cost of under-nutrition to national economic development is estimated at $20 to $30 billion per year. [1]
